Our very first meeting ever.
Basic plan: start at 6pm with informal talk, pizza, etc. Then at 7pm move into our agenda for the evening: finding out who everybody is and what everybody wants from the group.
Board meeting location varies; usually at a restaurant in Santa Rosa. Send email to steering@SoCoSA.org if you’re interested in attending.
Anyone with an email address is well aware of the problem of spam, or unsolicited bulk email. Though there are many commercial applications available to help enterprises cope with spam, their cost usually puts them out of reach of all but the largest corporations.
Mark Linford of Santa Rosa Junior College will discuss how their campus used off-the-shelf computer components and SpamAssassin (a popular open-source spam prevention system) to deliver commercial-quality spam filtering at a fraction of the cost.
What if power went down or your facilities are flooded? How well can your organization handle and survive a disaster or business interruption? Best practices for business continuity and disaster recovery management are discussed in this talk.
Greg and Tina will be available to answer questions about Disaster Recovery, backup solutions and ADIC’s products during and after the presentation.
ADIC will be providing free pizza and soft drinks. There will be a free drawing for an iPod Nano and some other giveaways. Bring a business card for the raffle.
